Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved agriculture tube wells solarization project across the province. Presiding over a meeting on solarization of tube wells in Lahore today, she said the project will significantly lower the cost of agricultural produce and help farmers. The meeting was apprised that landowners with 25-acres will be eligible for the agricultural tube wells solarization project, and they will pay only thirty three percent of the total project cost. In first phase seven thousand tube wells will be converted to solar energy while 10,000 more will be converted in the second phase.
