Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held separate telephone conversations with senior government, constitutional, and political figures to exchange Eid-ul-Azha greetings. He reached out to President Asif Ali Zardari, Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti, and Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan to convey his wishes.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister extended his greetings to political figures such as Abdul Aleem Khan of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party, Khalid Magsi of the Balochistan Awami Party, and Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao of the Qaumi Watan Party. He prayed for peace, progress, prosperity, and stability in Pakistan and emphasized national unity and harmony.
During these conversations, discussions were held on the country's political situation, highlighting the necessity for effective coordination between the federation and provinces. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured that the Federal Government, in collaboration with all provinces and federating units, will continue to take measures to provide relief to the populace.
Additionally, the Prime Minister exchanged Eid greetings with prominent political leaders including Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Amir Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, and Amir of Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan (Noorani) Shah Owais Noorani. These interactions also included discussions on the overarching political scenario in the country, with a reaffirmation of the government's commitment to collaborative efforts for public relief.
