Nation Set to Observe Eid-ul-Azha with Religious Zeal on Wednesday

Islamabad: The nation will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on Wednesday with great religious zeal and fervour to commemorate the great sacrifice of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS). The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the well-being of the Muslim Ummah and for peace, progress, and prosperity of the country.

According to Radio Pakistan, Eid prayers' congregations will be held at mosques, Eidgahs, and open places in all cities, towns, and villages across the country. Ulema, in the Eid sermons, will highlight the significance and philosophy of the great sacrifice rendered by Hazrat Ibrahim and Hazrat Ismail (AS). People will offer animal sacrifices to follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS).

The federal and provincial governments have chalked out elaborate security arrangements to ward off any untoward incidents. The local administrations of different cities and towns have also made special arrangements for the disposal of offal and other solid waste during Eid holidays. Additionally, Radio Pakistan will air special programmes in connection with Eid-ul-Azha.
