Lahore:The 55th death anniversary of renowned Pakistani playback singer Naseem Begum was observed today. According to Radio Pakistan, Naseem Begum, who was born in Amritsar, British India, in 1936, became a celebrated figure in the Pakistani music industry, singing hundreds of Punjabi and Urdu songs for films. Her melodious voice garnered her a large fan base across the country. Notably, during the 1965 war with India, she contributed to patriotic songs, including 'Aye Raah-e-Haq Ke Shaheedo,' which played a significant role in boosting the morale of the armed forces and the nation. Naseem Begum passed away on this day in Lahore in 1971.
