Most parts of the country have received first pre-Monsoon rain after a long drought spell across the country bringing a respite from heat wave.
Maximum rainfall recorded in Chakwal 35 millimeter, Rawalpindi's area Chaklala 31 millimeter, Islamabad's area Saidpur 29 millimeter, Hafizabad 28 millimeter, Kotli 26 millimeter, Mangla 25 millimeter and Kakul 23 millimeter.
According to the Met office, more rain-wind and thundershower is expected in upper and central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhawa and Kashmir.
Isolated heavy falls and hailstorm are also likely during the period.
Hot and dry weather is expected in other parts of the country.
