Thousands of emergency shelters, water purifiers and hygiene kits from the UK have been shipped to flood-ravaged Pakistan from Dubai.
The aid items by the British government are part of a 41.5 million pound pledge to support millions of people displaced by floods in Pakistan.
Emergency shelters are intended for up to over 187,000 people while water filters and hygiene supplies for more than 31,000 people.
Speaking on the occasion in Dubai, UK ambassador Patrick Moody said the United Kingdom has donated 16.5 million pound directly from the government, whereas; 25 million pounds from the British people to ensure the rehabilitation of the flood victims in Pakistan.
He expressed the commitment to continue humanitarian and releif work to mitigate the miseries of the flood affected people across Pakistan.
