Lahore: Punjab Governor Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has announced the establishment of a new campus of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Taxila in Jand, Attock. This initiative aims to expand access to engineering education for students in less-developed regions.
According to Radio Pakistan, Governor Saleem made this announcement during the 22nd Convocation of UET Taxila. He highlighted the university’s achievement of securing the 106th position among Asia’s leading universities, attributing this success to the dedication of its faculty, administration, and the government’s commitment to strengthening higher education.
The Governor emphasized the role of the graduating engineers as the future of Pakistan, underscoring the importance of providing quality education to foster development. The new campus in Jand is part of the broader initiative to enhance educational opportunities and resources in underprivileged areas.
