Islamabad: Minister for Law Azam Nazeer Tarar has emphasized the need for adopting alternate dispute resolution options to ease the burden on courts. Addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, he said mediation or arbitration is the cost-efficient, effective, and swift way to resolve disputes.
According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar highlighted the increasing backlog of cases in the judiciary and underscored the importance of alternative methods to alleviate this issue. By promoting mediation and arbitration, the minister believes that the judicial system can focus more on complex cases, thereby improving overall efficiency. The implementation of these methods is viewed as a crucial step in ensuring timely justice for all parties involved.
The minister also pointed out the potential for these alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to provide a more accessible and less adversarial process for individuals seeking resolutions. This approach not only reduces legal costs but also fosters a more amicable environment for dispute settlement.
