Islamabad: Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, inaugurated the Atatrk Avenue Widening Project in Islamabad today. The initiative aims to address traffic congestion issues in the city by expanding the road from 24 feet to 52 feet.
According to Radio Pakistan, the project is expected to significantly improve traffic flow. The enhancements include the installation of modern lighting, a drainage system, walkways, and safety measures. These additions are designed to ensure both efficiency and safety for commuters and pedestrians.
During the inauguration, Talal Chaudhry emphasized the importance of environmental preservation, noting that all trees have been preserved during the project's execution. This aspect of the project underlines the commitment to sustainable urban development while addressing infrastructure needs.
