Karachi: Significant progress has been made in the four hundred million dollars logistics project agreed upon between NLC, Pakistan Railways, and DP World. The construction of the Dedicated Freight Corridor and the Multimodal Logistics Park at Pipri has formally commenced.
According to Radio Pakistan, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi and DP World Group Chairman and CEO Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem as chief guests. The modern Multimodal Logistics Park at Pipri aims to integrate rail, road, and port facilities in a single center.
This corridor is expected to enhance the transport of imports and exports to China, Central Asia, and other regional countries, making it faster, cheaper, and more efficient.
