Russia has dismissed claims that Moscow caused the global food crisis.
Addressing a meeting with Arab League envoys in Cairo, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said the United Nations Secretary General has taken responsibility for lifting restrictions imposed by the United States and the European Union against Russian financial and supply chains.
Lavrov praised the Arab leaders for not straining relations with Russia despite severe US pressure.
He blamed the West for prolonging the Ukraine conflict.
