Applications are invited from Pakistani Nationals, who are not married to a foreign national, for the appointment on the following position in the Department of Food Science and Technology, The University of Haripur, Haripur, under National Research Program for Universities – Higher Education Commission project No. 20-14606/NRPU/R&D/HEC/2021 2021, titled “Use of modified chitosan based antimicrobial edible coating in combination with calcium chloride as hurdle technology for fruits shelf-life extension”.

Qualification: Having M. Phil. or equivalent degree program in Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Nutrition Sciences, Medical Lab Technology, Pharmaceutical sciences and/or relevant field.
Contract duration: 1 year (extendable)
Experience: For aforementioned, candidates having the required field of specialization and good working experience related to the food chemistry, spectroscopic techniques, analytical techniques, microbial analysis, bioactivity analysis, testing and report writing will be preferred.
Duties and responsibilities: It includes execution of project, procurement of consumable and equipments, preparing project reports and manuscript writing (and other related jobs, as per directions of P.I.).
Contract information: The above position is purely on temporary/contract basis on following terms and conditions.
The successful candidate will be required to sign a bond for entire duration of his/her contract in the project.
The submission of monthly progress report by research associate
The contract can be terminated by either party at any time with one-month notice.
