Rana Sanaullah directs for completing reform process in Interior Ministry

Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan has directed the authorities concerned to complete reform process in the ministry to improve its performance.

Presiding over the meeting to review the performance of the Ministry in Islamabad today, he said special attention should be paid to the cleanliness of Islamabad as per instructions of the Prime Minister.

The Minister said regulatory framework should be completed as soon as possible to bring the cleanliness of Islamabad in line with international standards. He asked to provide all possible help to make Islamabad police more efficient.

Rana Sanaullah said all possible measures should be taken to make the border management system effective so as to prevent illegal entry and exit into the country

The Minister directed to make the process of providing fingerprints in obtaining arms license easier. He said arms training for people and the certification procedure in this regard should also be formulated.

He asked the authorities to take effective measures to prevent arms smuggling and arms dealers should be restricted to sale legally imported arms only.

The meeting also reviewed the progress on the establishment of the Private Security Service Regulatory Authority.
