Rahim Yar Khan: Punjab Police have intensified their intelligence-based operations in the Kacha area of Rahim Yar Khan, resulting in significant confrontations with local criminal elements. These operations have led to the death of 63 individuals identified as dangerous criminals and injuries to 45 others, signaling a major crackdown in one of the region’s most challenging terrains.
According to Punjab Police, a spokesperson outlined that Rahim Yar Khan Police have set up permanent posts in the Kacha area, maintaining a constant presence with substantial manpower and resources. The operations, characterized by the use of advanced tactical equipment including long-range weapons and armored vehicles, are part of a broader strategy to restore law and order.
Inspector General of Police, Punjab, Dr. Usman Anwar, emphasized the commitment to these operations, stating that they will continue until the complete eradication of criminal activities in the area. Dr. Anwar also noted the effectiveness of the police’s Anti-Honey Trap Cell, which operates round the clock and has so far prevented 531 potential kidnappings through active surveillance and checkpoints.
