Lahore: Punjab government has approved phase-wise construction, repair, and rehabilitation projects in major cities across the province. Chairing a meeting held in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced that sewage and drainage systems would be developed in fifty-nine cities in the first phase.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting further decided to connect water supply tube wells to solar energy to reduce electricity expenses. This initiative is expected to alleviate the financial burden of electricity costs and promote sustainable energy use.
Maryam Nawaz also directed that swings and sports facilities must be included in all new park projects. This directive aims to enhance recreational facilities for residents and promote a healthier lifestyle.
