Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has granted in-principle approval for the establishment of the first Skill City in the province. Chairing a meeting in Lahore today, she directed authorities to engage highly qualified instructors for technical education.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized the importance of designing the curriculum in consultation with experts from industrial sectors to ensure it aligns with current market demands. The initiative aims to provide youth with both technical and practical training in various fields, including graphic designing, media production, fashion designing, data coding, and tourism.
Furthermore, the Skill City project will offer training in industrial electrician work, plumbing, solar water heating systems, professional culinary arts, and allied health professions. This comprehensive program is expected to equip the youth with the necessary skills to thrive in a competitive job market and contribute to the province's economic growth.
