Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved the ‘School on Wheels’ project to enhance literacy rates in the province. She gave the approval while chairing a meeting in Lahore on Sunday.
According to Radio Pakistan, the School on Wheels project aims to deliver education in remote and difficult-to-reach areas of the province. The initiative will utilize Electric Rickshaws equipped with solar panels on their roofs to facilitate this educational outreach. Children participating in this project will receive books and educational toys as part of their learning experience.
In addition, the Education Department is set to launch the Library on Wheels project. This initiative will employ Mini Vans that can be stationed at various locations to provide access to reading materials.
