Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have paid tribute to the security forces for conducting successful operations against terrorists in the Bajaur and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The operations targeted members of the Indian Proxy Fitna-al-Khwarij group.
According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari stated that the elimination of 23 terrorists, who were operating with Indian support, demonstrates the effective strategy of the security forces. He emphasized that the killing of several terrorists, including a ring leader in Bajaur, sends a clear message to anti-peace elements. Zardari highlighted that the actions of the security forces underscore the state’s commitment to establishing peace in the country. He further asserted that there is no room for foreign-sponsored terrorism on Pakistan’s soil.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif echoed the President’s sentiments, noting that the security forces are making significant gains against terrorism under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam. He reaffirmed the nation’s solidarity with the armed forces in their fight against terrorism and expressed the government’s determination to eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
