President Dr. Arif Alvi has assured Pakistan’s full support to the people of Kashmir in their just struggle for right to self-determination.
The assurance was given by the president during a meeting with the political leaders of Azad Kashmir in Islamabad on Thursday.
The political leadership of Azad Kashmir called on India to reverse its illegal and unlawful actions of 5th August 2019.
They demanded India to reverse unlawful and unjust annulment of Articles 370 and 35A of the Indian Constitution.
They also re-endorsed the principled stand taken by Pakistan to link any negotiation or dialogue with India with the reversal of these actions.
A five-point resolution was also passed on the occasion that called upon India to retract its illegal move to change the demography of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir by illegally issuing domiciles to over 4,200,000 non-Kashmiris and empowering them to buy Kashmiri land and conduct businesses.
The resolution also called on India to put an end to atrocities, intimidation, harassment and humiliation inflicted upon the innocent Kashmiris.
It urged the international community, the UN, and human rights organizations to take meaningful and decisive steps towards holding of an impartial plebiscite under UN auspices, allowing Kashmiris to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination.
The resolution also demanded ending media curbs in IIOJK.
