PM vows to restore lost glory of Hockey in Pakistan

Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar has vowed to restore the lost glory of Hockey in Pakistan by utilizing all resources.

He was addressing the closing ceremony of the 67th National Senior Hockey Championship in Islamabad that was organized by the Army Welfare Trust.

The Prime Minister said in this regard we will mobilize our corporate sector and launch different government initiatives.

He said hockey following the pattern of cricket, hockey super leagues should be conducted at regional levels.

The Prime Minister instructed national TV to take initiatives for promotion of Hockey by engaging our heroes of the game.

The Prime Minister also urged hockey players to maintain passion and enthusiasm and follow country’s legendary hockey players for reviving the glory of the national game.
