PM Extends Eid-ul-Fitr Greetings to Military and Political Leaders

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif today held telephonic conversations with the country's military leadership and extended his heartfelt greetings on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. The Prime Minister spoke with Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, extending Eid greetings to the Services Chiefs. He paid tribute to the soldiers and officers of the security forces who are performing their duties on the borders for the defence of Pakistan even on the Eid day, away from their families.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif also reached out to political leaders of the country to extend Eid greetings. The leaders contacted by the Prime Minister included Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan, Governor Sindh Nehal Hashmi, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi, and Governor Balochistan Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, congratulating them on Eid. Additionally, he exchanged Eid greetings with Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister held telephone conversations with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, Chairman MQM-Pakistan Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, President Awami National Party Aimal Wali Khan, President Balochistan Awami Party Sardar Khalid Hussain Magsi, President Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party Abdul Aleem Khan, and senior leader Pakistan Muslim League-Q Chaudhry Salik Hussain.
