PM directs to ensure transparency in development projects

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed to start work expeditiously on the projects related to the development of agricultural sector and solarization of tube wells.

He gave these directions while chairing a meeting in Islamabad today regarding ongoing development projects in the current financial year.

He directed relevant authorities to give priority to the projects related to the empowerment of women and progress of youth.

The Prime Minister further asked to pay special focus on the public welfare projects and progress on the backward areas. He also directed to ensure the quality and transparency in the ongoing development projects.

Shehbaz Sharif was informed that Prime Minister Merit Scholarship is being started across the country including Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir. He was further told that process of the provision of laptops to the talented youth will be started soon under the Prime Minister Youth Program.

The meeting was given a detailed briefing regarding development projects related to youth and women, agriculture, industry, infrastructure and other sectors.

The Premier also directed to submit a detailed report on the time frame and action plan of all the projects.

Federal Ministers Ishaq Dar, Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Advisor to Prime Minister Ahad Khan Cheema, Special Assistants Malik Ahmed Khan, Shaza Fatima Khawaja and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
