Minister for Planning and Development, Ahsan Iqbal has directed the officials concerned to accelerate the process of preparing master plans for ten major cities of the country on modern lines.
He was chairing a meeting in Islamabad on Tuesday to review development projects under the Ministry.
Ahsan Iqbal said process of planning and approval of federal projects should be fully automated and the Ministry should hire a Chief Technology Officer to automate all internal planning, consultation, launching and execution of the projects.
Emphasizing the need for consultation with all stakeholders, he called for soliciting feedback from the private sector on different projects and feasibility reports submitted by the provincial governments and federal ministries.
Ahsan Iqbal said consultations and opinions of private experts are inevitable for completion of national projects with best quality.
