Peshawar:The Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has affirmed that Pakistan will achieve total defeat over terrorists and their ideology with the support of the people. This declaration was made during his visit to the Corps Headquarters in Peshawar.
According to Radio Pakistan, during his visit, Field Marshal Munir emphasized the continuation of the campaign against Indian-sponsored terrorist groups. He assured that these groups would be targeted aggressively wherever they are located.
During the briefing at the Corps Headquarters, the Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces was updated on the current security situation, ongoing counter-terrorism operations, border management initiatives, and the operational preparedness of the formations stationed in the province. Field Marshal Munir praised the high morale and professionalism of the officers and troops, instructing them to maintain vigilance and the highest standards of operational readiness to effectively counter threats.
Additionally, Field Marshal Munir paid tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistani people, including the Shuhada and Ghazis of the security forces. Upon his arrival, he was received by the Commander of the Peshawar Corps.
