Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif stated that Pakistan and Turkiye share a historic bond of fraternity and brotherhood, emphasizing that they are friends and brothers forever. He made these remarks while addressing a ceremony in Islamabad to mark Republic Day of Turkiye.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Prime Minister highlighted Turkiye’s steadfast support for Pakistan during challenging times, including wars and natural calamities. He recalled that during Pakistan’s recent war with India, Turkiye stood by Pakistan like a solid rock, exemplifying true brotherhood. Additionally, he mentioned Turkish assistance during the devastating floods in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister noted that Turkiye and Pakistan are now entering into economic, strategic, and defense cooperation. Discussing his visit to Turkiye and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s visit to Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif expressed that both nations have jointly resolved to share their sorrows and happiness. He remarked that today’s Turkiye reflects modernity combined with traditional Turkish heritage and civilization.
