Pakistan Reaffirms Support for Kashmiris Amid Ongoing Tensions

Islamabad: Pakistan continues to extend all-out support to Kashmiris, stated Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, Amir Muqam, during a news conference alongside All Parties Hurriyat Conference leader, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, from the Azad Jammu and Kashmir chapter, in connection with Youm-e-Istehsal Kashmir observed today.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized Pakistan's commitment to supporting the people of Kashmir morally, politically, and diplomatically. He referred to August 5 as a black day in history, marking India's revocation of Articles 370 and 35-A, which ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Amir Muqam detailed how these actions are perceived as part of India's agenda to alter the region's demographics.

He further highlighted the ongoing situation in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), citing reports of extrajudicial killings by Indian forces and demolition of properties belonging to Kashmiris. The Minister underscored the unity of the Pakistani nation on the Kashmir issue, noting a strong consensus among Pakistanis in supporting the Kashmiri cause.
