Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Peaceful Relations with Neighbors.

Islamabad: Pakistan has reaffirmed its desire for cooperative relations with all its neighbors, including India. At her weekly news briefing in Islamabad, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch emphasized Pakistan’s consistent advocacy for constructive engagement and result-oriented dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues, including the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.

According to Radio Pakistan, Baloch highlighted the absence of political will on India’s part to resolve disputes and differences through dialogue. She reiterated Pakistan’s belief in peaceful coexistence and its commitment to peace and stability in the region. Despite challenges in bilateral relations, Pakistan has been acting responsibly, she noted, urging the eastern neighbor to create a conducive environment for advancing peace, dialogue, and resolving longstanding disputes.

The Spokesperson expressed concerns over the ongoing seizure of properties of Kashmiri people in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Baloch described t
hese actions as part of a drive to confiscate lands and properties to intimidate and punish Kashmiris for their dissenting political views. She called on Indian authorities to cease this campaign and fulfill international obligations as an occupying power.

Expressing concerns over developments in Syria, Baloch warned that the situation could further destabilize the region and embolden terrorist groups. She stressed the importance of promoting peace and security in Syria for regional stability and called for international efforts to deescalate the situation while upholding Syria’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.
