Islamabad: Renowned analyst Dr. Waheed Yousaf has stated that Pakistan emerged as a result of a genuine democratic struggle, reflecting the aspirations and sacrifices of the Muslims of the Subcontinent.
According to Radio Pakistan, in an exclusive interview with correspondent Qasim Bukhari in connection with the 80th Independence Day, Dr. Waheed emphasized that the Muslims of the Subcontinent, under the visionary leadership of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, remained united and successfully achieved the goal of an independent homeland.
He highlighted that the Pakistan Movement stands as a notable example of a constitutional, democratic, and peaceful political struggle. Dr. Waheed further stressed the responsibility of the younger generation to uphold the ideals of the founding fathers by promoting national unity, strengthening democratic values, and contributing to the country's progress and prosperity.
