Pakistan and Russia Collaborate on New Steel Mill Project in Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan and Russia have agreed to form a joint working group to facilitate the setting up of a new steel mill in Karachi. This decision marks a significant step in fostering economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to Radio Pakistan, the understanding was reached during a meeting between Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Haroon Akhtar Khan and Russian Representative Denis Nazaroof in Islamabad. Haroon Akhtar Khan emphasized the potential for collaboration in the steel industry, which could benefit both nations.

Khan also invited Russian businesspeople to explore investment opportunities in Pakistan, highlighting the country’s openness to foreign investment. The meeting signified a move towards strengthening ties and opening new avenues for joint ventures in sectors like steel production.
