Beijing: Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening consular cooperation and enhancing facilitation for each other's nationals. This commitment was expressed at the 10th Round of Pakistan-China Consular Consultations held in Beijing on Tuesday last.
According to Radio Pakistan, the two sides reviewed the whole gamut of bilateral consular matters and expressed satisfaction at the continued growth of people-to-people exchanges between Pakistan and China. The Consular Consultations are an institutionalized mechanism between the two countries that reviews the entire range of consular matters, including visa and immigration issues and protection and welfare of nationals.
Director General (China) Tariq Wazir led the Pakistani delegation, while the Chinese side was represented by Long Zhao, the Director General of the Department of Consular Affairs. Both sides reiterated their dedication to furthering cooperation, ensuring streamlined processes, and providing better services to their respective nationals.
