Minister for Power Division Khurram Dastgir has said currently no large-scale privatization of power distribution companies (DISCOs) is on card, however, efforts are afoot to control power sector losses.
Addressing a news conference after the federal cabinet meeting, he said various technical functions including meter reading and collection of bills would be privatized.
He said that those DISCOs running in losses are not suitable for privatization.
