MoRA Denounces False Reports on Hajj Catering Company

Makkah: The government has firmly dismissed fraudulent reports circulating on social media regarding the arrangements for Hajj.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Spokesperson, Muhammad Umar Butt, stated that the recent campaign targeting the catering company ‘Baharat Asia’ is completely unfounded. The Spokesperson highlighted that the company is owned by a Saudi national, and its legal representative and manager are also citizens of the Kingdom, as confirmed by official records.

Umar Butt clarified that ‘Baharat Asia’ translates to ‘spices of Asia’ in Arabic, and any assumptions drawn from the name are purely conjectural. He reassured that Pakistani pilgrims are being provided with three meals daily, tailored to their tastes and preferences.

Additionally, the Spokesperson appealed to the public to desist from spreading unfounded rumors, emphasizing the importance of allowing the Pakistan Hajj Mission to concentrate its efforts on assisting pilgrims instead of addressing misinformation.
