Lahore: President of SOS Children’s Villages International, Dr. Dereje Wordofa called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore on Tuesday. During the meeting, they discussed ways and means to further strengthen cooperation for the protection, education, and mental and physical development of orphaned and vulnerable children. Both sides agreed to collaborate on promoting and improving the SOS model in Punjab.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting highlighted the mutual commitment to enhancing the welfare of children in need throughout the region. The focus was on creating sustainable strategies that ensure better living conditions and opportunities for orphaned and vulnerable children in Punjab. The agreement to improve the SOS model signifies a step forward in addressing the challenges faced by these children and ensuring their holistic development.
