The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to hold local government elections in phases.
This was stated by the Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Kamran Bangash, briefing media on the decisions taken by the provincial cabinet that met in Peshawar on Monday with Chief Minister Mahmood Khan in the chair.
He said, in the first phase, local government polls will be held in villages and neighborhood councils. The elections at tehsil and district level will be held in the next phase.
The cabinet approved provision of 187 kanal state land in Deri Zardad, Charsadda to people with income less than 50 thousand, under Prime Minister Imran Khan’s affordable housing scheme.
Kamran Bangash said the federal government will also provide a subsidy of three-hundred thousand rupees for each house.
The cabinet gave approval to supply wheat to the flour mills by next month.
