Indian Congress Criticizes Modi Government for Violating Parliamentary Norms

New delhi: Indian Congress party has accused Modi government of systematically trampling parliamentary norms for over a decade.

According to Radio Pakistan, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said on X that instead of addressing the real issues facing ordinary Indians, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continues to deliver his usual speeches, diverting attention from public grievances.

He said the BJP government has bulldozed parliamentary decorum and procedures for the last eleven years, saying that the list of such violations is long and widely known. He said the Modi regime must end this drama of distraction and engage in meaningful debate on unemployment, inflation, widening economic inequality, and the ongoing loot of the country’s resources.

In the Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian forces personnel have arrested two Kashmiris, including a Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front leader. According to Kashmir Media Service, the Indian Central Bureau of Investigation, accompanied by paramilitary and police personnel, arrested JKLF leader Shafat Ahmed Shangloo during a house raid in the Ishber Nishat area of Srinagar.

The CBI claimed that Shafat Ahmed Shangloo was arrested as an absconder in a thirty-five-year-old case related to the kidnapping of Rubiya Sayeed, daughter of late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, former Indian Home Minister, in 1989. The JKLF leader has been arrested multiple times over the past three decades in the same case and other cases linked to the Kashmir freedom movement.
