IG Islamabad Police Pledges Enhanced Security Measures to Protect Citizens

Islamabad: Inspector General (IG) Islamabad Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has reaffirmed his commitment to taking all possible measures to ensure the protection of lives and property of citizens in the federal capital. He was chairing a conference of operational commanders in Islamabad to review the law and order situation in the federal capital.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting participants conducted a detailed review of the overall security and law and order situation in Islamabad. The IG directed officers to ensure foolproof security arrangements during the last ten days of Ramadan, particularly during I'tikaf and the sacred odd nights.

The officers were instructed to further strengthen security at mosques and Imambargahs across the city, while ensuring effective security and parking management in markets and shopping areas. Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi also ordered that security at all bus terminals be tightened, and approved a crackdown against transport operators charging passengers excessive fares.
