Govt to protect rights of cotton growers: Caretaker Punjab CM

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has said that under no circumstances farmers should sell cotton less than 8,500 rupees per maund.

In a statement, he said that Punjab government will protect the rights of cotton farmers.

He said that cotton farmers will be compensated for their labor and the Punjab government is taking all necessary steps in this regard.

Mohsin Naqvi said that the cotton crop is the guarantee of the prosperity of the farmer and the development of the country.

He said that steps are taken at all levels to ensure the price of cotton to the farmers and field teams of the agriculture department have also been mobilized in this regard.
