Govt to Ensure Stable Fertilizer Supply Amid Regional Challenges

Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research, Rana Tanveer Hussain, has announced that the government is committed to maintaining a stable supply of fertilizers despite facing regional challenges. This assurance was given during a high-level meeting of the Fertilizer Review Committee held in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized that agricultural productivity and food security will be protected even in the face of external challenges. He highlighted the importance of close coordination among manufacturers, distributors, and provincial authorities to ensure that supply chains remain uninterrupted across the country.

The meeting further stressed the need for vigilant monitoring of fertilizer prices at both local and provincial levels. This measure aims to prevent artificial shortages and hoarding, ensuring that fertilizers remain accessible and affordable for farmers across the nation.
