Islamabad: Relevant government departments are continuing their crackdown against power pilferage. In a concerted effort to curb electricity theft, authorities have intensified their operations across the nation.
According to Radio Pakistan, the latest statistics reveal that the crackdown has resulted in the recovery of a substantial 127.835 billion rupees. In addition to the financial recuperation, law enforcement agencies have apprehended more than eighty-six thousand individuals involved in electricity theft. This nationwide operation underscores the government’s commitment to addressing power pilferage and ensuring efficient energy distribution.
The ongoing efforts reflect a strategic approach to reducing losses in the power sector, which has been a significant concern for both the government and utility companies.
