Govt committed to provide level playing field to political parties in elections: PM

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that the government is committed to assisting the electoral process and ensures a level playing field for all the political parties.

In interviews with two different private television channels, he said government is in a good working relationship with the Election Commission which is carrying forward the electoral process to accomplish it soon with the holding of general elections.

He dispelled the impression that caretaker government has any tilt towards PML-N. He said he could not find any evidence of institutional interference in favour or against any party.

To a question about the expulsion of illegal foreign nationals from Pakistan, Prime Minister Kakar said thousands of the people had left and many have also opted to go back voluntarily.

He reiterated that registered refugees are not being deported rather the operation was to do with the illegal residents as well as those living with identity theft.
