Helsinki: UMS is honoured to be invited to the Finland Pakistan Business Summit 2025, a dynamic platform uniting key stakeholders from Finland and Pakistan across the energy and education sectors. Dr. Ghazal Farrukh (Head of Department, School of Allied Health Sciences) and Dr. Saira Hafeez PT (Physiotherapist/Trainer – HCA) proudly represented NUMS, showcasing our active collaboration with Finnish institutions through the PAFIIC project.

According to National University of Medical Sciences, during the summit, they had the opportunity to meet and engage with several directors, managers, and leaders from various sectors. Each discussion offered insights into exciting future possibilities. It was a proud moment to present NUMS on such a prestigious platform.

A particular highlight was the opportunity to engage with H.E. Ambassador Hannu Ripatti, Wartsila MD Mr. Alexandre Eykerman, and Honorary Consul General Mr. Wille Eerola. Discussions focused on shared values, innovation, and the transformative power of education. A one-on-one with Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Trade, Mr. Jam Kamal Khan, revealed potential collaborations, including space technology.

They were thrilled to witness an impressive array of Finnish companies exploring the Pakistani market-Tana Oy seeking distributors, NordShield® exploring the textile industry, FCS Finland bringing world-unique solutions, and institutions like the University of Turku, the University of Vaasa, and Turun ammatti-instituutti deepening educational partnerships with Pakistani entities such as NUTECH and NUMS.

The FPBS Education Afternoon, powered by Finnish Global Education Solutions, further showcased top-tier offerings: Biovoima (biogas solutions), Planmeca (world-class dental technology), and major players in energy, mining, and telecommunications, such as Wartsila, Metso, and Nokia.

Special thanks were extended to Mr. Mika Alhonkoski, from Turku Vocational Institute (TAI), Finland, the PAFIIC project lead, for his ongoing support and vision for educational advancement. Additional gratitude was expressed to Dr. Nishat Riaz (Malala Fund), Karoliina Korkonen (FGES), and Dr. Qamar ul Islam (IST Islamabad), who contributed significantly to the rich discussions, particularly on space missions like iCube Qamar.

They look forward to building on these partnerships for a brighter, collaborative future.
