Finance Minister Engages with Key Saudi and UAE Financial Leaders

Washington: Minister for Finance, Muhammad Aurangzeb, has met with the United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Saudi Minister of Finance, Mohammed Aljadaan, and President Global Policy and Advocacy of the Gates Foundation, Gargee Gosh in Washington DC on the sidelines of IMF-World Bank Spring meetings.

According to Radio Pakistan, during his discussion with the United Arab Emirates Minister of State for Financial Affairs, Mohamed Bin Hadi Al Hussaini, the Minister elaborated on Pakistan’s economic indicators, the recent sovereign rating upgrade by Fitch, and the government’s privatization agenda. He noted the enthusiasm of UAE investors in exploring investment opportunities in Pakistan, emphasizing the importance of converting Memorandums of Understanding into concrete agreements.

In another meeting, the Minister for Finance engaged with Saudi Minister of Finance, Mohammed Aljadaan, in Washington, D.C. He expressed appreciation for Saudi investments in Pakistan and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to maintaining its reform trajectory.

The Minister also met with Gargee Gosh, President Global Policy and Advocacy of the Gates Foundation, in Washington DC. He acknowledged the Gates Foundation’s ongoing support for Pakistan’s polio eradication efforts, as well as initiatives in maternal and child health and nutrition.
