Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety Faisal Karim Kundi held a meeting with Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori in Karachi on Monday.
Steps to alleviate poverty from the province, financial assistance to deserving persons and other issues were discussed on the occasion.
The Governor said on the occasion that Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) has played an important role in helping deserving people and urged to further expand the scope of the programme.
He said that more steps are required for rehabilitation of flood affectees of the province.
Faisal Karim Kundi said on the occasion that stipends to deserving people in all districts of Sindh province are being given under Benazir Income Support Programme.
