Department of Basic & Applied Chemistry’s Final Year Project Display Showcases Innovative Upcycling Solutions

Lahore: Final Year Project Display titled ‘Trash to Treasure’ was organized by the Department of Basic and Applied Chemistry at FOST for 8th semester students enrolled in the Environmental Chemistry course led by Dr. Momal Akram. This event provided a platform for students to present creative upcycling solutions by transforming waste products into functional items.

According to University of Central Punjab, the project evaluations were conducted by Prof. Dr. Sumera Zaib and Dr. Shafiq Ur Rehman. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, Head of the Department, distributed certificates of appreciation to the participants. This initiative represented a significant step in raising environmental awareness and demonstrated UCP’s dedication to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals.
