Death Anniversary of Urdu Poet Saghar Siddiqui Observed

Lahore: Fifty-first death anniversary of renowned Urdu poet Saghar Siddiqui was observed on Saturday. His real name was Muhammad Akhtar, and he was born in Ambala in 1928. Following the partition, he migrated to Pakistan and settled in Lahore, where he became an influential figure in the literary community.

According to Radio Pakistan, Saghar Siddiqui began writing poetry at a very young age. His talent led him to write Ghazals for films, and he even published a literary magazine, contributing significantly to the promotion and preservation of Urdu literature. Saghar Siddiqui passed away on this day in 1974 and was laid to rest in Lahore.
