Dera Ismail Khan:Eleven people lost their lives in a suicide blast targeting the anti-smuggling 'Aman Mela Police Checkpost' in the Darazinda area.
According to Radio Pakistan, the explosion occurred on the D.I. Khan-Quetta Road and claimed the lives of six police personnel, two customs officials, two women, and a two-year-old child. The blast resulted in injuries to over thirty individuals, including police, customs officials, and civilians.
Some of the injured are reported to be in critical condition, raising concerns that the death toll could rise. The attack involved a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device (VBIED) that rammed into the checkpost, indicating a possible connection between terrorist and criminal elements.
Local residents have expressed anger and frustration over the perceived indifference of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government towards terrorism. In response to the attack, security forces have secured the area and initiated a search operation.
