DC Soccer Club Endorses Pakistani-Made Soccer Balls for Quality and Value

Washington D.C, The DC Soccer Club has praised the quality and value of soccer balls made in Pakistan, highlighting their durability and widespread use in local parks. The club’s executive director, Grey Andrulis, and chairperson, Zainab Schwartz, discussed these points during a meeting with Pakistani Ambassador Masood Khan at the Pakistani Embassy in Washington, D.C.

According to Embassy of Pakistan – Washington D.C, Andrulis emphasized the recognizable branding and consistent delivery times of the Pakistani soccer balls, noting their presence in every soccer park across the district. He remarked on the long-lasting nature of these balls, stating that even after four to five years of use, the balls remain functional despite showing signs of wear.

Zainab Schwartz expressed pride in how these soccer balls represent Pakistan in the daily lives of children, underscoring the impact of such international products on local communities. The DC Soccer Club, a major player in the tri-state DMV area, sources approximately 2,500 soccer balls annually from Pakistan, reflecting a strong partnership and trust in the quality of these imports.

Ambassador Masood Khan responded to these accolades by pointing out that Pakistan manufactures 70% of the world’s soccer balls, a statistic that underscores the country’s pivotal role in the global sports goods market. He stressed the importance of sports equipment in promoting wellness and connecting communities globally.

The ambassador also acknowledged a proposal from the DC Soccer Club to organize an ‘Embassy Cup’ in 2025, which would serve as a precursor to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, further cementing sports as a bridge between nations.
