Construction of Six Highways to Transform City Infrastructure

Sialkot, In a significant move to enhance the city’s infrastructure, Sialkot has embarked on the construction of six new highways. The project, part of the Punjab government’s city package, aims to revitalize the industrially significant region.

According to Zameen.com, Deputy Commissioner Shah Mir Iqbal announced the details of the project during a meeting at the DC Office on Tuesday. The construction, with an estimated cost of PKR 1,091 million, is a strategic effort to improve Sialkot’s connectivity and overall infrastructure.

The meeting highlighted the importance of timely completion, with directives issued to finish the ongoing construction work by mid-December. Iqbal stressed the implementation of daily monitoring to ensure the project adheres to its deadline, reflecting the government’s commitment to infrastructural development in the region.
