Cold weather expected in most parts of country

Rain and snow occurred at upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, north Baluchistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during last twelve hours.

Cold weather is expected in most parts of the country, while cloudy in upper districts during the next twelve hours. .

However, rain/snow is likely in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir. Fog is likely to prevail over Punjab, plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and upper Sindh.

Temperatures of some major cities recorded this morning:

Islamabad and Muzaffarabad seven degree centigrade, Lahore nine, Peshawar ten, Karachi fourteen, Quetta six, Gilgit three, and Murree zero degree centigrade.

According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy with chances of rain and snow is expected in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula, while cold and dry with fog in Jammu.

Temperature recorded this morning:

Srinagar, Baramula and Anantnag two degree centigrade, Jammu nine, Leh minus six, Shopian one degree centigrade.
