Islamabad: Weather is likely to remain cold and dry over most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. Very cold weather is expected in hilly areas during morning and night hours. Smog in patches may develop over the plain areas of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during morning and night hours.
According to Radio Pakistan, the temperature of major cities recorded this morning showed Islamabad and Peshawar at four degrees centigrade, Lahore at nine, Karachi at fourteen, Quetta at minus-two, Gilgit at minus-three, Murree at three, and Muzafarabad at four degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir indicates very cold and partly cloudy weather in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu will experience cold and dry weather. The temperature recorded this morning was minus-three degrees centigrade in Srinagar, Anantnag, and Shopian; Jammu at seven; Leh at minus-seven; and Pulwama and Baramula at minus-two degrees centigrade.
